New interactive resource for parents created by ACMA

ACMA (Australian Communications and  Media Authority) have created an interactive cybersafety guide for parents which is available from their Cybersmart website.

Each video is about 2 mins long and provides practical advice for parents on issues such as cyberbullying, sexting and spending too much time online.

These video guides are also complemented by 6 brochures covering cyberbullying, sexting, socialising on the internet or social networking, dealing with offensive content, mobile phone safety as well as a general guide to internet safety.

About Gavin May

Gavin May is a parent at Ivanhoe Grammar School and formerly the Director of ICT. www.icybersafe.com is aimed at helping parents live in a connected world, where the internet is central to much of what we do, and certainly much of what our children do. The easy option is to just block it - the better option is to get involved and stay informed.
