Police warn teens on spreading Facebook gossip

Yet another gossip site has been set up – no suburb seems immune. This time it is in Craigieburn. According to this report, Constable Harris says the content on the sites can be deemed as cyberbullying and making threats, and both are criminal offences. “Police will be working with schools to look at closing these sites and it’s possible they may be charged.”

With the recent promulgation of Brodie’s Law sentences of up to 10 years can be given for cyberbullying – it is now not just nasty and cruel but also a crime. Share this with your teens.
