Pornography Alert – Twitter’s Vine is now Age Restricted, 17+

Vine Restricted ImagesI recently wrote and asked parents to talk to their teens and tweens about Twitter’s Vine, which allows users to upload 6 seconds of video onto Twitter. Twitter is now warning users and viewers that it “contains age-restricted material” and that no one under 17 is allowed to access the app.

Of course this is a sure fire way to ensure more followers  and is very easy to get around! When you attempt to download the App, it simply asks if you to:

‘Tap OK to confirm that you are 17 or over’

Yes, a child could do it!

The warning came in response to a proliferation  of pornographic content since Twitter rolled out the app last month.
