Surprise, surprise, Snapchat Pics Don’t Delete!

snapchat-headlinesTeens think Snapchat is fun and many use it just for that. But do those who use it to sext, (and that is a well known use of it!) know that Snapchat’s promised “self-deleting” images do not actually disappear!  This is not the first time I have written about this feature.  In an earlier post  SnapChat Pictures no longer Safe! Be warned! I let you know that it is possible to take screen shots of the images.  Now we learn that the images are stored in a hidden folder on your phone and can be retrieved, according to a digital forensics company.  It takes a bit of expertise but it can be done and there are techies out there constantly working on ways to do it better!  Read more to discover how: Snapchat Doesn’t Delete Your Photos | Pictures Can Be Recovered.

Thank you very much Andrew, have posted this with an oblique mention of you as not too sure how your sons would feel if I used your name!
