Teens think Snapchat is fun and many use it just for that. But do those who use it to sext, (and that is a well known use of it!) know that Snapchat’s promised “self-deleting” images do not actually disappear! This is not the first time I have written about this feature. In an earlier post SnapChat Pictures no longer Safe! Be warned! I let you know that it is possible to take screen shots of the images. Now we learn that the images are stored in a hidden folder on your phone and can be retrieved, according to a digital forensics company. It takes a bit of expertise but it can be done and there are techies out there constantly working on ways to do it better!
